Jennifer Aniston’s Unexpected Comment About Co-Star

In a humorous departure from her usual on-screen roles, Jennifer Aniston appeared as a hairstylist in a recent advertisement for her own haircare brand, LolaVie. The ad featured Jason Bateman, Aniston’s long-time friend and frequent co-star, as her unwitting client.

The promotional video, shared online, opens with Bateman turning up at Aniston’s door unexpectedly, saying he’d heard she has taken up hairstyling. He mentioned that he read online that Aniston was providing hair services.

The friendly banter between the two, a testament to their years of collaboration, ensued when Aniston agreed to style Bateman’s hair. The actor promptly made himself comfortable, jokingly grumbling about the lack of a smock and questioning her pricing, to which Aniston confirmed her services were complimentary.

During the styling process, Aniston complimented Bateman’s hair, stating that “his hair is envied by every man, really, that I know.” She described his hair as remarkable and said styling it was a dream. This remark underscores the ongoing interest in hair within Hollywood, particularly significant given Aniston’s own iconic hair status.

The ad was peppered with humorous moments, reminiscent of Bateman’s comedic prowess known from his role in Arrested Development. Bateman humorously remarked that he resembled Conan, and upon Aniston completing the blow-dry, he acknowledged the results. He stated he was ready for the camera, thanks to LolaVie, ending with his signature sign-off, calling her Aunt Jen.

The Aunt Jen moniker hints at the close personal bonds between Bateman’s and Aniston’s families. Bateman has previously shared that his wife Amanda and their two daughters have a close relationship with Aniston. In an August 2025 interview with InStyle, he mentioned that Aniston is almost like a co-mother to his daughters and has been part of their lives since birth.

After posting the video, Aniston playfully asked who would be her next hair client. Reese Witherspoon, her co-star on The Morning Show, responded that she would like an appointment. This lighthearted exchange hints that the promotional campaign might feature other celebrities in the future.

Aniston and Bateman’s collaboration isn’t surprising given their extensive history of working together. They first appeared together in The Switch (2010), followed by Horrible Bosses (2011), its sequel in 2014, and Office Christmas Party in 2016. These repeated collaborations demonstrate a professional chemistry that effectively extends to both scripted and promotional content.

The LolaVie ad came after Bateman faced criticism for his SmartLess podcast, where he questioned Charli XCX about her decision not to have children. This light-hearted video focuses on the genuine friendship between the two Hollywood veterans, offering a contrast to the recent controversy.

Aniston’s venture into the haircare industry is noteworthy, considering her own hairstyle’s iconic status. Known for the Rachel hairstyle during her Friends days, it inspired numerous salon requests in the 1990s and beyond. However, Aniston was not personally fond of the Rachel hairstyle despite its cultural significance.

Both Bateman and Aniston have had successful careers over several decades. Bateman is known for his role in Arrested Development and various film comedies, while Aniston stars in The Morning Show alongside Witherspoon. Their ability to humorously interact with each other reflects the comfort borne out of long-standing professional and personal relationships.

Following its release, the video attracted significant attention on social media, with fans admiring the genuine friendship and self-aware humor portrayed by both actors. The video’s casual setting and improvised feel offer a refreshing contrast to more polished, traditional beauty advertisements, possibly making it more relatable to consumers.
