Tragedy struck a Las Vegas family on Sunday, July 9.
The horrific incident took place around 6:30 pm in a bedroom of an apartment situated near Nellis Air Force Base. It was here that Jaiangelis Stevenson, two-years-old, affectionately called “Blue” by his family due to his eye color, accidentally set off the firearm that ended his life.
After the incident, emergency personnel transported the boy to the University Medical Center. However, despite the medical team’s best efforts, the authorities reported the child’s death.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is currently examining the circumstances surrounding the incident, probing into potential indications of neglect or abuse linked to the case.
Paris Box, Jaiangelis’ aunt, shared that a family member was supervising the toddler while his mother was at work at the time of the tragic occurrence. She warmly remembered the young boy and his vivid blue eyes.
