Jim Carrey, 64, is a married man again. A spokesperson for the actor confirmed Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, that he recently wed his longtime partner, Min Ah, in a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles. It is the third marriage of his life.
No wedding date, guest list or photographs have been released. The couple kept the occasion small and intimate, and neither has shared further details publicly since the news broke. Carrey’s representatives have not said when the vows were exchanged, and outlets have reported only that the wedding took place recently. The announcement arrived about seven months after the couple’s public debut in Paris.
Who Is Min Ah?
Min Ah is a Los Angeles-based actress and artist who also goes by Minzi. The two have been linked since 2022, when they were photographed together at a Los Angeles comedy benefit in February of that year. There was no announcement, no joint interview and no staged rollout, and the pair stayed out of the spotlight for years afterward.
That low profile suits a relationship that has unfolded far from the booming, rubber-faced persona that made Carrey a household name.
A Public Debut in Paris
Carrey and Min Ah stepped out as a couple on Feb. 26 at the César Awards in Paris, where the French film academy presented the actor with an honorary prize. Carrey delivered his speech in French and used it to thank the woman by his side. “Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah. I love you, Min Ah,” Carrey said.
The moment was also a family occasion. Carrey’s daughter, Jane Erin Carrey, 39, and her teenage son, Jackson, joined the couple at the ceremony, and the group posed together on the red carpet.
His Third Trip Down the Aisle
Carrey was first married to Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1995, and the two share their daughter, Jane. He then wed his “Dumb and Dumber” co-star Lauren Holly in 1996, and that marriage ended about a year later.
For years, Carrey sounded unconvinced that he would remarry. On Howard Stern’s radio show in 2014, he said, “I just don’t see it as necessary at this point,” NBC Los Angeles noted in its report on the wedding.
From Pet Detective to Honorary César
Carrey’s rise began in 1994, when director Tom Shadyac cast him in “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” a performance so elastic and so loud that it changed what a studio comedy lead could look like. His screen credits have since swung between broad slapstick and drama, the body of work that earned him a tribute from the French industry.
He is not done on screen. Carrey is slated to appear in “Sonic the Hedgehog 4,” which ABC News reports will also feature Keanu Reeves, Kristen Bell and James Marsden. The film is scheduled to reach theaters in March 2027.
For now, the wedding remains something of a mystery by design. What is clear is the path that led to it: a couple first seen together in 2022, a public debut in Paris with his daughter and grandson looking on, and then a quiet ceremony in Los Angeles that turned the actor’s longtime partner into his wife.
