Savannah Guthrie Delivers Heartbreaking Mother’s Day Message

An armed and masked suspect was recorded on a doorbell camera. Blood was discovered on a front porch. A pacemaker became disconnected from its app. And the family has endured 100 days of distress searching for answers.

On Sunday, May 10, as Mother’s Day 2026 approached, Savannah Guthrie posted a 44-second Instagram Reel featuring home videos and family photos of her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, 84, who disappeared from her home in the Tucson area over three months prior. The video featured the woman her family calls “Nonie” taking selfies, spending time with grandchildren, and at one moment looking at the camera saying, “Miss you.”

“Mother, daughter, sister, Nonie — we miss you with every breath. We will never stop looking for you. We will never be at peace until we find you. We need help. Someone knows something that can make the difference,” wrote the “Today” show host in her post caption.

Monday, May 11, marks the completion of 100 days since Nancy Guthrie went missing from her Catalina Foothills residence near Tucson after being driven home by a family member following dinner at approximately 9:45 p.m. on January 31, 2026. A $1.2 million reward has been offered — consisting of $1 million from the Guthrie family and over $100,000 each from local crime stoppers and the FBI — yet no one has been charged and no suspects have been identified.

Disturbing Evidence Emerges

When Nancy Guthrie did not show up at a neighbor’s residence around noon on February 1 for an online church service viewing, authorities were notified of her disappearance.

The investigation revealed troubling details. In the early morning of February 1, her doorbell camera was disabled. Her pacemaker app indicated her device had lost connection with her phone shortly after. Bloodstains belonging to Nancy Guthrie were subsequently detected on the front porch — which a former FBI agent described as a potential “final struggle.”

On February 10, the FBI released doorbell camera footage showing a masked, armed person at the residence on the evening of her disappearance. Gloves located near the property contained no DNA evidence, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office. DNA evidence recovered at the scene, including a strand of hair, continues to be examined by the FBI, per reports.

Law enforcement believes Nancy Guthrie was forcibly removed from her home, though investigators have not identified a clear motive. On March 6, the Pima County sheriff stated that the possibility of multiple perpetrators has not been excluded. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, leading the investigation with FBI support, stated recently that the case “remains active and ongoing.”

An Unsigned Message at the Makeshift Memorial

A memorial has been established outside Nancy Guthrie’s residence as community members have shown their support for the family. An unsigned note was placed at the memorial over the weekend, directed toward the person responsible and encouraging them to make the right choice before Mother’s Day. The message referenced the perpetrator’s own mother and requested Nancy Guthrie’s safe return so her family could observe the holiday together.

Savannah Guthrie’s spouse, Mike Feldman, married in 2014, shared his own Mother’s Day message on Instagram, saying, “To the strongest person I know. Surrounding you with love on Mother’s Day.” They have two children together, Vale and Charles.

Continuing Forward Despite Heartbreak

On Monday, Savannah Guthrie revealed on the “Today” show alongside Jimmy Fallon that she will be the host of a new NBC primetime game show inspired by Wordle, the word game owned by The New York Times. Fallon is participating as an executive producer, and the show will be filmed in Manchester, England during the summer, with a planned premiere next year. She stated to media that she had shown her mother the test episode in December 2025, before her disappearance.

Savannah expressed appreciation to Fallon and the network for their patience, as the production schedule had been postponed due to Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

“Everything feels unusual at the moment. It’s unusual to host the Today show each day, and it’s unusual to announce a game show when you’re grieving,” Guthrie expressed. She stated her intention to “move forward one day at a time.”

Individuals with details regarding Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance should contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900 or the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI. Information can also be reported at tips.fbi.gov.
