Both actors’ words painted a picture of a man who was respected for his craft and deeply cherished for his compassionate and giving spirit.

The Spanish Union of Actors and Actresses also released a statement expressing their deepest condolences to Ortega’s family and friends. Fans have since flooded Ortega’s social media accounts with sympathy and admiration, sharing memories of his work and his impact on their lives.

At the time of his death, Ortega had recently completed work on the film “Trompeta,”  directed by Damián López Asla.
