During a live performance on December 13, 2023, in Feira de Santana, Brazil, a 30-year-old Brazilian gospel singer collapsed and died, leaving fans reeling.
This unexpected event occurred at an online broadcast concert in a concert hall situated in Feira de Santana, a northeastern Brazilian city.
While performing at a religious function, Pedro Henrique fell to the stage, an incident that was filmed and witnessed by those attending live.
At the moment of his collapse, Henrique, noted for his compelling stage presence, was in the midst of singing ‘Vai Ser Tão Lindo,’ his well-known song.
Approaching the front of the stage to interact with the audience, Henrique suddenly collapsed, which led to prompt responses from spectators and band mates.
After being rushed to a clinic nearby, Henrique was declared dead. Todah Music, his record label, announced that a heart attack was the cause of death.
Henrique’s family includes his wife, Suilan Barreto, a prominent figure in the gospel scene, and their daughter Zoe, who was born on October 19 of this year.
Henrique had been passionate about music since childhood. He launched his career in 2015 by uploading songs on YouTube and had initially joined a local band, releasing the album ‘Grande é o Senhor.’
The wake and funeral services for Henrique are set to occur in Porto Seguro, Bahia, his place of birth. His most recent single “Medley: Levanta / Não Fica Assim / Descendência (Ao Vivo)” was released posthumously.
