In a new viral video, 50-year-old Ben Affleck opens the car door for his 53-year-old wife, Jennifer Lopez, after a coffee run in Los Angeles on Tuesday. However, as Lopez steps into the car, Affleck slams the door in a seemingly aggressive manner, causing fans to question his mood and speculate if the couple was arguing.
Some fans suggested that the paparazzi’s presence may have upset Affleck. One fan commented that the couple possibly noticed the cameraman as they approached the car and Affleck, irritated, motions to the cameraman at the end of the video. The fan argued that the headline should be “Not a minute of privacy when you’re famous.”
On Wednesday, paparazzi spotted the couple in what appeared to be a tense conversation at the Los Angeles premiere of Lopez’s new movie, “The Mother.” Nevertheless, they happily posed for photographers, giggled, and even shared a kiss.
Affleck and Lopez have repeatedly made headlines for their interactions. In February, Lopez was seen allegedly barking at a miserable-looking Affleck at the 2023 Grammys. Affleck later explained that he was merely joking with his wife. The “Deep Water” star said that when he realized a camera crew was about to film them, he told Lopez he would slide away from her as soon as the cameras started rolling and leave her sitting next to Trevor Noah. Lopez reportedly told him, “You better f–king not leave,” according to Affleck.
The Oscar winner has also claimed that his sour expression is merely the result of genetics. In March, he joked to talk show host Jimmy Kimmel about having an unhappy-looking resting face.
Although they had a past relationship when younger, Ben and J-Lo moved on and had children with their former spouses before rekindling their romance in 2021. They got engaged in April 2022 and married in Las Vegas.
