Taylor Swift Drops Wedding Gown Clues Online

Taylor Swift’s handbag choices in recent weeks have fueled intense speculation that she may have already dropped subtle hints about her wedding dress designer, with fans analyzing her every accessory as the singer prepares to marry Travis Kelce following his proposal in August 2025.

Reports suggest more than 1,000 guests have been invited to a July 3 event at Madison Square Garden, with a permit filed seeking street closures around the venue from July 2 through midday July 4. Event planning company Winick Productions allegedly submitted a request involving temporary event infrastructure capable of accommodating hundreds of guests, while hotel room blocks and travel arrangements tied to members of the Kansas City Chiefs organization have been reported.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end George Kittle revealed the wedding invitations stated absolutely no gifts and suggested the wedding may be approaching soon, noting Swift gave her time this close to their wedding. Kittle also stated he asked Travis Kelce about the Madison Square Garden venue and he laughed at me. Swift made a surprise appearance at Kelce’s Tight End University event on Tuesday night and performed her song “Love Story.”

Dior Bags Dominate Recent Sightings

The most compelling evidence centers on Swift’s sudden embrace of Dior’s pricey purses. In the last month alone, the Grammy-winning artist has been photographed carrying six different Dior bags, a dramatic shift from her typical handbag choices that lean toward affordable options or traditional neutral-toned pieces from Louis Vuitton, YSL or Chanel.

Jonathan Anderson’s transition from Loewe to Dior has revitalized the historically conservative label, making it one of this summer’s most sought-after fashion houses. Swift’s consistent public displays with Dior handbags have sparked fan debate about whether she’s simply following current fashion or quietly revealing the designer creating one of the entertainment industry’s most secretive wedding collections.

In April, Swift was photographed at a New York City restaurant accompanied by her father and several friends, among them Ashley Avignone, Jack Antonoff and Jerrod Carmichael. Her “something blue” dress from Staud was accessorized with a $9,500 Mini Lady Dior featuring a buttercup strap that has become highly coveted among fashion enthusiasts.

One Reddit user wrote, “Ugh she has the purse I want. I love that Lady Dior with the little bee on it.”

Beyond the yellow bag, she’s been photographed with a Small 30 Montaigne Avenue Top Handle Bag ($4,100), which she previously carried last October. At Via Carota, among her preferred dining spots, she wore an all-white Retrofete knit dress that evoked wedding imagery, complemented by the Dior Small D-Motion Bag ($4,000), a combination she’s repeated since.

She debuted a D-Journey Bag at February’s Super Bowl, a style priced between $4,300 and $6,200. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attended the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers game on May 23, where she wore a Stella McCartney jacket and Dior Cigale bag. Swift busted out her Dior Small D-Motion Bag again to watch the Knicks take on the Spurs on June 10.

Sarah Chapelle, who wrote the book Taylor Swift Style and runs the Taylor Swift Styled account with 393,000 followers, noted on Instagram that Swift rarely follows trending fashion to this extent, as her style typically sets trends rather than following them.

Elizabeth Taylor Inspiration and Multiple Gowns

Speculation about Swift’s wedding attire grew following a previous report revealing that her gown will draw inspiration from Elizabeth Taylor’s 1950 wedding to Conrad Hilton, featuring vintage design elements.

On her newest album, The Life Of A Showgirl, Swift penned a tribute song to the classic Hollywood star and, while creating the music video, studied vintage photographs of her. A source said in April 2026 that Swift became captivated by Elizabeth Taylor’s aesthetic while reviewing archival images for her music video, which led her to explore the Hollywood legend’s wedding gowns when planning her own bridal look. Reports say she was drawn to the timeless silhouette, marked by a cinched waist and ornate lace detailing.

Swift has reportedly commissioned six different wedding dresses without yet choosing which she’ll wear. According to an insider who spoke to Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack in May 2026, multiple gowns are prepared, and the singer might wear a single dress throughout the celebration or change outfits multiple times.

“Some of the dresses are deliberate decoys,” the insider explained. “The goal is to confuse people, stop leaks, and make sure nobody figures out the real look ahead of time.”

Another insider said that all designers involved were bound by strict NDAs to ensure no details leaked before Swift chose to unveil them.

Stella McCartney and Other Contenders

Another designer who has emerged as a potential candidate is Stella McCartney. On May 14, 2026, Swift’s bodyguard was seen outside her New York City apartment carrying a Stella McCartney white garment bag and tote bag. While it remains unclear whether McCartney has actually designed the pop star’s wedding dress, the two are longtime friends.

Swift has worn McCartney’s designs on multiple occasions over the years, including on the Evermore and Folklore album covers. The pair also collaborated on the 2019 Stella x Taylor capsule collection.

At the time, the source did not know who designed the dress but confirmed it was not Oscar de la Renta. Swift has long been a fan of the womenswear label and performed at the Toy Story premiere on June 9 in an elaborate yellow floral gown.

At their weddings, stars such as Amal Clooney, Naomi Watts, Allison Williams, Jenna Bush, and Katherine Heigl chose Oscar de la Renta wedding gowns.

Swift has also worn designs by bridal designer Reem Acra for her Eras Tour, including a lavender ball gown. Acra told Page Six Style in 2023 that she was grateful for Swift’s support and noted that the singer knows what she likes and what she wants.

At the iHeartRadio Music Awards in March, which she attended with fiancé Kelce, Swift wore a celadon-hued Wiederhoeft look crafted from the same velvet and moiré featured in the brand’s New York City bridal salon.

Expert Predictions and Past Bridal Looks

Dorothy Silver, Kleinfeld Bridal Director of Merchandising, predicted Swift will choose a classic yet fashionable ceremony gown and said brides will want to emulate her style.

Swift has worn bridal-worthy gowns before. Morgan McCullough, a Kleinfeld bridal stylist, recalled Swift wearing designers Nicole + Felicia in the “I Bet You Think About Me” music video, including both white and red versions of a gown with cascading floral designs.

Designers Nicole and Felicia Chang told Page Six Style in 2021 that the white dress was “an artistic interpretation of a wedding gown — a design that is classic yet imaginative at the same time.”

McCullough added that she thinks about that dress a lot for Swift in her bridal era — something soft and whimsical, feminine, but very classic as well. She said she really thinks that is what Swift will do.

The Grammy-winning artist has spent years training her followers to hunt for secret clues in places ranging from her musical compositions to beauty selections. Supporters believe her post-engagement period continues this tradition, with each ensemble and piece of jewelry sparking intense analysis among those trying to decipher the singer’s subtle messages as she prepares for her wedding.

One thing Swift might skip when she says “I do” is her signature Easter eggs, at least obvious ones. “Taylor doesn’t really do Easter eggs about her personal life as much. That’s something that I actually really love about her — there is professional Taylor, the performer, and then there’s Taylor, the person,” McCullough noted.

McCullough speculated that there may be something sentimental that only Swift and Travis know about, something that observers may see but never really know what it means. She proposed it might be a family heirloom from Swift’s side, like a section of her mother’s or grandmother’s veil, or a similar keepsake that could be stitched into the dress, or meaningful initials embroidered within the gown.

Whether the wedding dress designer is Dior, Stella McCartney, or someone else entirely, fans will have to wait for the big day to find out for certain.
