Demi Moore has no plans to marry again — and she’s perfectly content with the casual dating arrangement she’s built for herself. The actress, now 63, has been unattached since ending her relationship with Daniel Humm, a Swiss chef and restaurateur, in 2022.
Instead of pursuing another serious relationship, Moore has assembled what an insider describes as a carefully selected group of men she contacts when she’s interested in company. Her type hasn’t changed: she gravitates toward younger partners.
“Demi still has a taste for very attractive men in their thirties and early forties, and she has no problem reeling them in,” the source said.
Three Marriages and a Long Dating History
Moore’s romantic history includes three marriages. She first married musician Freddy Moore in 1980, divorcing him in 1985. Her second marriage was to Bruce Willis in 1987, with whom she shares three daughters: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. That union ended in 2000.
In 2005, Moore married Ashton Kutcher, but they divorced in 2013 after six years of marriage. In her memoir, “Inside Out,” Moore later accused Kutcher of cheating.
She also had relationships with actor Timothy Hutton in 1983, Jon Cryer in 1985, and was engaged to Emilio Estevez. Moore dated martial arts instructor Oliver Whitcomb and Sean Friday as well, before her years-long involvement with Humm.
A Selective Approach to Romance
According to the insider, the Golden Globe winner is deliberate about screening potential companions before adding them to her circle.
“It takes her time to vet a guy, but when she finds one she likes, she tends to keep him around, so she’s now got a little roster … she can call on when she’s in the mood,” the insider told the outlet.
The “Substance” star is seeking only physical connection without strings attached, the source added. Moore feels fulfilled by her three daughters and close friends, and she even jokes that her no-pressure dating strategy contributes to staying youthful.
A Career Renaissance and a New Outlook
Moore’s current approach to romance coincides with a period of professional resurgence. The “G.I. Jane” star received critical praise for her work in “The Substance,” appeared in “Landman,” and was honored as one of Glamour’s Women of the Year.
During a 2025 appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” she discussed how this phase of life has changed her outlook.
“I just feel like this is an amazing time, and anybody who thinks that getting older means life is less is sadly mistaken,” she said.
“The Substance” — a film exploring themes of beauty, youth, and identity — provided Moore with opportunities to discuss aging publicly. She has spoken about overcoming years of self-criticism and now treats herself with greater acceptance. She explained at the Gotham Awards that she now views herself as more than just her appearance. On a 2024 appearance on “Today,” she discussed the happiness she feels watching her daughters become independent women.
Turning Heads at Cannes
Moore’s transformation has included a style evolution. She attended the Kering Women in Motion Dinner during the Cannes Film Festival at the Musée de la Castre in Cannes, France. Days later, she appeared at the premiere of “La Bola Negra,” showcasing a significantly shorter hairstyle that departed from her traditionally long hair.
At the premiere, Moore wore a floor-length sapphire blue gown with an oversized bow detail and a subtle train, created by Self-Portrait under creative director Han Chong and made in the label’s London atelier. She accessorized with a bold statement necklace and black slingback heels. Her shoulder-length lob featured soft, voluminous curls styled with a side part.
Moore debuted the shorter look earlier in the year at Gucci’s show during Milan Fashion Week, sporting a sleek wet-look bob. Celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos dubbed it the “Demi-tris Bob.”
With red carpet moments, professional achievements, and a dating life structured exactly as she desires, Moore seems to be fully owning this phase — on her own terms.
