Trump’s Shocking Message After Death Threats

U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene disclosed on December 7 that President Donald Trump sent her an “extremely unkind” message after she informed him of death threats against her son, illustrating a significant division between the Georgia congresswoman and the president she once staunchly supported.

In a “60 Minutes” interview with correspondent Lesley Stahl, which aired on December 7, Greene shared details about the fallout from Trump labeling her “Marjorie Traitor Greene” after she disagreed with him on multiple issues, including the release of Jeffrey Epstein files.

“After President Trump called me a traitor, I got a pipe bomb threat on my house,” Greene told Stahl. “And then I got several direct death threats on my son.”

Greene confirmed that the direct death threats against her son used Trump’s phrase: “Marjorie Traitor Greene.” She attributed these threats to the president’s language. Upon receiving these threats, Greene reached out to both Trump and Vice President JD Vance. Vance promised to investigate, while Trump’s response was notably unsympathetic.

When pressed by Stahl about Trump’s message, Greene was cautious but precise. She chose not to disclose the entire conversation but indicated that Trump’s response was accusatory and lacked empathy after she forwarded the threats to him.

Greene also shared the threats with Trump, Vance, and FBI Director Kash Patel. She reported receiving 773 death threats since 2021.

Greene’s appearance on “60 Minutes” was her first major interview since announcing her plans to leave Congress. She criticized Republican colleagues for privately mocking Trump while publicly supporting him out of fear.

“I watched many of my colleagues go from making fun of him, making fun of how he talks, making fun of me constantly for supporting him, to when he won the primary in 2024, they all started, excuse my language, Lesley, kissing his a**, and decided to put on a MAGA hat for the first time,” Greene said.

Greene noted that her colleagues fear a negative Truth Social post from the president and view her situation as a warning about publicly opposing Trump.

The rift with Trump began when Greene criticized his focus on international issues over domestic ones. She accused him of prioritizing Israel’s interests, Big Pharma, and crypto donors over the American public.

Greene also disagreed with Trump regarding the Epstein files. Trump withdrew his endorsement of Greene and criticized her on Truth Social, calling her very dumb. On December 8, he continued to claim she is not America First or MAGA.

During the interview, Greene rejected the MAGA label, stating she now identifies as America First, explaining that MAGA represents Trump’s policies. She confirmed she considers herself America First instead.

In an unexpected admission, Greene apologized for contributing to toxic politics, acknowledging the toxicity of Washington’s political culture. When Stahl highlighted Greene’s history of inflammatory rhetoric, Greene accused Stahl of being accusatory.

Greene criticized Trump’s domestic policy priorities, arguing that an America First president should prioritize domestic issues before addressing international concerns.

The congresswoman announced her resignation from Congress, citing her self-respect and dignity as reasons not to endure a challenging primary campaign against Trump. Her announcement followed rising tensions with Trump over policy disagreements on issues such as healthcare and foreign policy.
