Biden RIPPED by Dem’s For Rolling Over

In the final weeks of his presidency, Joe Biden faces mounting criticism from his party for what some Democrats perceive as a premature ceding of authority to President-elect Donald Trump. This sentiment arises as Trump actively engages in high-profile international meetings and policy declarations while Biden maintains a notably subdued public presence.

Recently, Trump attended the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, engaging with French President Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During this event, Trump discussed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, advocating for an immediate ceasefire—a stance that contrasts with the current administration’s policy of providing military aid to Kyiv. The former president’s bold diplomacy has drawn global attention, with some leaders cautiously optimistic about his approach, even as Biden’s absence from the event drew criticism.

In contrast, Biden delegated attendance at the Paris event to First Lady Jill Biden. His decision to avoid such high-profile engagements has frustrated Democrats, who feel the president is not adequately asserting his authority during this critical transition period. A former White House official described Biden’s approach as “cavalier and selfish,” expressing concern over the perceived leadership vacuum that risks diminishing the party’s reputation as a united force during challenging times.

Progressive factions within the party are particularly vocal. Usamah Andrabi, spokesperson for Justice Democrats, remarked, “This is one of the lamest of lame ducks we’ve seen with a Democratic administration. A massive missed opportunity.”Others in the party have echoed these sentiments, calling for a stronger response to Trump’s prominent global activities.

Adding to the internal discord, Biden’s recent pardon of his son, Hunter Biden, has sparked backlash from party members who believe it undermines the moral high ground Democrats have maintained against Trump. “It just gives the American people a sense that there’s one system for the rich and powerful and another for everybody else,” said Senator Michael Bennet of Colorado. This move has provided additional ammunition for critics, further highlighting divisions within the party.

In response, the White House emphasized that President Biden is diligently working to implement his agenda in the time remaining. Spokesperson Andrew Bates pointed to Biden’s recent travels to Africa and South America as efforts to strengthen international relationships and continued Senate confirmations of his judicial nominees. “The president remains focused on delivering for the American people up to his last day in office,” Bates said.

Meanwhile, Trump’s assertive return to the global stage has reinvigorated Republican supporters and created a media frenzy. From his Paris meetings to comments on domestic policy priorities, he has dominated the headlines, leaving Democrats scrambling to reclaim the narrative. For instance, his proposal for a ceasefire in Ukraine has sparked debate among U.S. allies and policy experts about the future of American foreign involvement.

As the transition progresses, the Democratic Party faces the challenge of unifying its members and effectively communicating its message to the public. This period underscores the complexities of a political transition, especially when internal divisions emerge. With both Biden and Trump working to cement their legacies, the next few weeks will likely set the tone for the nation’s political landscape.
