The body of Trentin Isaac, a 16-year-old from Mansfield, Ohio, has been found in Harrison County, approximately two hours from where he was last seen, police officials confirmed Tuesday.
Isaac, who disappeared on November 12, was discovered in Harrison County on November 19, according to the Mansfield Police Department. The teen’s remains were transported to the Cuyahoga County coroner’s office for examination due to “suspicious circumstances” surrounding the case.
Mansfield Police Chief Jason Bammann said investigators are coordinating with state and local authorities to gather additional information about the incident. “We have more questions than answers at this point,” Bammann stated.
Law enforcement officials have received numerous unverified tips regarding videos and social media posts allegedly connected to Isaac’s disappearance. However, police report that no concrete evidence supporting these claims has been submitted to investigators.
The Mansfield Police Department is urging the public to refrain from conducting independent investigations and instead forward any relevant information directly to law enforcement.
A GoFundMe campaign has been established for Isaac’s family. The fundraiser describes him as “cherished by so many, including his parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends, and loved ones.”
Mansfield Police did not release any information on possible suspects or persons of interest but said there may be multiple people involved. Police stated they are working diligently to “bring justice to the individuals who committed this act.”
The Mansfield Police Department requests that anyone with information, including potential videos, photographs, or social media content related to Isaac’s disappearance, contact Detective Ronee Swisher at 419-755-9432.
