He referred to his decision as “career suicide,” yet affirmed his commitment to it.
Levi stated his belief that Trump is the leader who can guide the nation to a positive future. He said, “We have two choices, and I believe Donald Trump, President Trump, is the man that can get us there.” Ahead of the 2024 elections, Levi aligned himself with Trump and acknowledged the influence of Gabbard and Kennedy in his decision-making. “He’s going to get us there because he’s going to have the backing and support and the wisdom of people like Robert Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard,” Levi explained.
After his endorsement, Levi reported that the majority of the responses he received were positive. He said, “The messages that I received have actually been quite lovely and supportive,” suggesting his fanbase was largely supportive of his decision, despite his expectation of backlash within his industry.
Prior to his endorsement of Trump, the Shazam! star had expressed support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for the 2024 presidential race. However, after Kennedy suspended his campaign, Levi shifted his support to Trump. “In a perfect world… perhaps I would have voted for Bobby,” Levi said.
