On the evening of September 16, 2024 Delaware State Police discovered a 45-year-old man fatally shot in a car that had ended up in a ditch along East Denneys Road in Dover, Delaware. The man, identified as Antonio Drummond of Dagsboro, was pronounced dead at the scene from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Police responded to a call around 6 p.m. regarding the vehicle found in a ditch in a quiet, secluded part of Dover. The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit has since launched an investigation into Drummond’s death, treating the case as a homicide. Neighbors in the area were reportedly unaware of the incident until the large police presence alerted them to the seriousness of the situation.
According to Delaware State Police, Drummond’s car was discovered with him inside, though details on where he was seated in the vehicle have not been publicly disclosed.
