Ahead of its October 1, 2024 release, former First Lady Melania Trump’s memoir, titled “Melania,” has reached number one in several Amazon bestseller categories including Memoirs, U.S. Presidents, and Political Leader Biographies. The book is published by Skyhorse Publishing, a company known for its conservative-leaning titles.

Discussing the process of penning the memoir, Melania noted the experience was “an amazing journey filled with emotional highs and lows.” She highlighted how each story that she wrote helped shape her into the person she is today.

The narrative covers Melania’s life, starting from her childhood in Slovenia, to her rise in the fashion industry, and finally to her becoming the First Lady of the United States. The memoir will be available in two versions: a standard edition and a collector’s edition, which is expected to feature additional photographs and a digital collectible. The release date for the collector’s edition may differ from the standard version, according to some sources.

The memoir portrays a resilient woman who charted her course, tackled obstacles, and achieved personal triumphs. During her husband’s tenure, Melania Trump maintained a relatively low profile, choosing to focus on child welfare advocacy through her “Be Best” campaign, which emphasized the well-being of children in relation to social media, bullying, and mental health.

After Donald Trump’s presidency, Melania Trump has continued her philanthropic efforts, focusing on the “Fostering the Future” initiative. This initiative offers scholarships and educational opportunities for children within the foster care system, with many recipients currently enrolled in universities across the U.S., majoring in technology and computer science fields.

Writing the memoir was not without its challenges, but Melania found the process rewarding, stating, “The process reminded me of my strength and the beauty of sharing my truth.”

Besides authoring her memoir, Melania Trump has also entered the business world post-Washington, D.C., launching a jewelry line earlier this year dedicated to mothers. A portion of the revenue from these sales is donated to her Fostering the Future initiative. In a statement, she emphasized the central role of mothers in the American family and reiterated her commitment to assisting families and children.

During her time as First Lady, Melania Trump’s efforts to improve the foster care system were widely acknowledged. She hosted virtual roundtables about the system’s challenges and secured funding for educational grants for foster youth. This advocacy led to legislation signed by then-President Donald Trump in December 2020, offering financial support for foster youth pursuing college or vocational training programs.

Moreover, Melania Trump has ventured into the NFT (non-fungible token) market, creating unique digital assets, with a portion of the proceeds being directed towards her philanthropic initiatives. Despite keeping a low profile, her dedication to advocating for foster children remains undiminished.

Given the pre-order success of “Melania,” there clearly exists substantial public interest in Melania Trump’s life story and her impactful advocacy work. The memoir aims to offer a fresh perspective on her time in the White House and insights into her personal life, and her unwavering commitment to aiding children in need.
