In the ensuing chaos, she slipped on the wet stairs while heading offstage, a moment captured on video that prompted immediate reactions from the audience.
Exemplifying professionalism, Underwood addressed the incident the next day on her social media platforms. She posted about the incident with a blend of humor and grace, saying, “Well, last night sure was fun! And though the ending was quite unexpected, it made for a night we’ll never forget!”
This isn’t Underwood’s first brush with an accidental fall. In 2017, she had a serious fall outside her Nashville, Tennessee home, resulting in a broken wrist and more than 40 stitches on her face. She spoke about this incident in 2018, highlighting the substantial physical toll it had on her. At this year’s Carolina Country Music Fest, where the recent incident took place, there were over 35,000 attendees.
