Reality TV Star Dead at 46

Ryan Hadley, known for his appearance on Season 6 of “Ink Master,” passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 46 after a courageous battle with seminoma cancer. His family announced his death on Instagram, sharing that he died surrounded by loved ones.

Hadley, a talented tattoo artist from Indiana, significantly impacted the tattoo community with his exceptional realism tattoos. His family expressed their grief and highlighted his legacy in the art and tattoo world. “Ryan passed away last night, surrounded by his loved ones,” the post stated. “Though his life was brief, he left a significant legacy in the art and tattoo communities. He cherished his fans, friends, clients, and especially his children. He will be deeply missed and always remembered as a legend.”

In December 2023, Hadley announced that he had been diagnosed with seminoma, a type of malignant germ cell tumor that stems from testicular cancer. Despite undergoing intensive chemotherapy, the cancer eventually metastasized to his liver and lungs, rendering it untreatable.

Hadley shared his journey with his followers on Instagram, expressing his determination to fight the disease for as long as possible. “I’m here, and I’m not giving up, not now, not ever. I’m determined to stay on this earth until I’ve ensured my loved ones have a good life before I leave this body,” he wrote.

Hadley’s struggle with cancer and his efforts to support his family during this challenging time was documented through a GoFundMe campaign, which aimed to help cover his medical expenses and provide for his children. The fundraiser page highlighted his dedication to his family and inability to work while receiving treatment. “Ryan owns a tattoo & art gallery in Indiana and cares for his boys, all under 12. This GoFundMe is to help Ryan pay his bills and provide food for his family while he’s undergoing treatment,” the campaign stated. The fundraising effort raised over $6,000.

The tattoo community has mourned Hadley’s passing, with many expressing their condolences and sharing memories of his contributions to the industry. Fellow tattoo artist Durb Morrison remarked, “We extend our condolences. Ryan was an incredible friend, artist, and father. He will be deeply missed.”

Another renowned tattoo artist, Freddy Negrete, said, “This loss is immense for all of us. My sincere condolences.”

Hadley’s impact goes beyond his technical prowess as a tattoo artist. His dedication to his craft and perseverance in facing challenges left a profound impression on those who knew him.

During his final months, he expressed immense gratitude to his supporters. “I want to express my gratitude to all my clients, sponsors, friends, and family for 25 amazing years in tattooing,” he posted on Instagram. Despite the dire prognosis, he remained optimistic and focused on his family’s future.

Ryan Hadley’s death is a significant loss to the tattoo community, but his influence and legacy will continue inspiring artists and fans.
