A 31-year-old vocalist who had just finished two songs, tripped over the edge of her extensive gown, which had become tangled on the stage. She fell forcefully, hitting her head on the solid stage floor.
As the singer lay still, a stark departure from the energy she had just displayed, the shocked audience looked on. Staff members quickly responded, attempting to perform life-saving procedures. In the harsh light of the stage, employees administered chest compressions, in a desperate bid to resuscitate her.
