On February 16, 2024, Jennifer Lopez made an unprecedented move in the entertainment industry by releasing her ninth studio album, “This Is Me… Now,” which merges the worlds of music, film, and documentary.

Accompanying the album is a narrative-driven musical film, “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story,” and the candid Amazon Prime documentary “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.” These three artistic ventures mark a significant milestone in Lopez’s career, illustrating her personal journey of love and self-discovery.

Produced by Nuyorican Productions and BMG Rights Management, the album explores Lopez’s ups and downs in love over the years. The album, which features collaborations with Chaka Khan, Raye, and Latto, is a blend of R&B, pop, and hip-hop genres. Upon release, it debuted at number 38 on the Billboard 200.

The narrative film offers a creative interpretation of Lopez’s love life, while the documentary focuses on her quest for love and eventual reunion with Ben Affleck. Both projects draw inspiration from Lopez and Affleck’s relationship, which restarted in 2022, twenty years after their original engagement.

Lopez stated that this album and its accompanying pieces were what she had been seeking all along, aiming to encapsulate her perspective on love. She emphasized her belief in the enduring nature of true love, a theme that is consistently present throughout her new works.
