In Bodrum, Turkey, Russian model Irina Dvizova, 42, and her 15-year-old daughter, Dayana, were found dead on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Their bodies were located on a hillside, wrapped in sheets, tied with rope, and with gunshot injuries.
The search began after Dvizova and Dayana became unreachable, raising concerns among their contacts. The alarm intensified when relatives, upon visiting Dvizova’s rented house, found bloodstains on the furniture. A local resident also reported hearing gunshots near the residence.
Before their deaths, the mother-daughter duo, celebrating Dayana’s birthday in Istanbul, were sharing their experiences on social media. Dayana, a TikTok user and aspiring model, was excitedly posting about their trip.
The primary suspect in the case is Andrey Kuslevich, Dvizova’s former husband and a 45-year-old Lithuanian national, father to their young son, Makar. Kuslevich’s history includes evading Russian police for alleged diamond heists. His stepson, David, 20, has described Kuslevich as aggressive and speculates that the murders could be connected to a custody dispute over Makar.
Turkish authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the double homicide, with a global search for Kuslevich underway. Efforts are also focused on locating Makar, who is presumed to be with his father. The inquiry is exploring the possibility that the murders were driven by a contentious custody issue, highlighted by Dvizova’s effort to limit Kuslevich’s access to Makar in a Moscow court in June.
Investigators are examining surveillance footage that allegedly shows Kuslevich performing the fatal shooting at the family’s villa, followed by disposal of the victims.
