On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, in a secluded part of the Pulaski Township woods in Pennsylvania, a hunter discovered human remains.
The Pennsylvania State Police reported that the findings were in a wooded area off Route 422 near Ambrosia Road in Lawrence County.
The remains included a skull and over 20 bones, accompanied by clothing fragments, raising numerous unanswered questions.
The state police, along with the Lawrence County Coroner’s Office, are leading a thorough investigation to identify the remains.
The condition of the remains suggests they may have been at the location for several years.
The discovery was initially reported by a hunter in the area around 3 pm, who stumbled upon the human skull. Following the finding, a team of state troopers, crime scene investigators, and representatives from the Lawrence County coroner’s office was dispatched. Their search in the vicinity led to the finding of additional bones as well as teeth.
Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Randy Guy mentioned that a forensic odontologist would be consulted to aid in identifying the person. This specialized examination of dental evidence could provide pivotal clues in solving the mystery.
In the wake of the discovery, the Pennsylvania State Police cordoned off the area to preserve the integrity of the scene. The subsequent search involved state police, Lawrence County Coroner Richard “R.J.” Johnson, and search and rescue teams with cadaver dogs.
The state police have issued a call to the public, urging anyone with information about missing persons to come forward.
