Man Dies From Freak Crane Accident in Florida

At a construction site on Heather Moss Drive, near Orlando, Florida, a person was trapped under a crane that had overturned.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office reported that the accident occurred at around 3:16 pm on Tuesday, October 3.

The crane, stationed at the construction site, overturned, fell down an adjacent embankment and fell on the worker. Immediately after the incident, the injured individual was transported to a nearby hospital. Despite receiving emergency treatment, the person did not survive.

The accident had further repercussions. Approximately 50 gallons of hydraulic fluid leaked from the crane, leading to concerns about contamination at the construction site. Measures to address and clean up the spill are expected to commence promptly to mitigate potential environmental impacts.

In response to the accident, there is an expectation that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will launch a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading up to the event.
