On Friday night, September 1, three people were discovered dead inside a vehicle, suspected victims of an apparent murder-suicide.
The incident occurred at Allen’s Spirit Park, located on Ridgeview Drive, Texas. At around 6:35 pm, law enforcement responded to a report about a shooting.
According to reports, when officers arrived, they found three people inside a vehicle bearing gunshot wounds. However, efforts by Allen Fire Rescue were unsuccessful, and all three were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the victims’ identities were not being released, but a source told CBS News Texas that a mother killed her two children, and then turned the gun on herself.
This incident occurred merely four days after a family of four, residing on Aberdeen Drive in Allen, lost their lives in what appeared to be a murder-suicide. The family included a man and his wife, and their two boys, 12 and 2. It is believed that the drowning of the couple’s four-year-old daughter earlier in the month might have played a role in the incident. The emotional aftermath of their daughter’s passing is suspected to have contributed to the circumstances that led to the murder-suicide.
The investigation into the vehicle deaths is ongoing.
