The singing sensation Shakira almost crashed a jet-ski into a harbor on Labor Day in Miami.
Due to a sudden shift in weather conditions, Shakira, 46, and her children decided to cut short their time at sea. However, while attempting to park the jet-ski, she found herself speeding towards the wooden pier. In an effort to stop the vehicle, she inadvertently accelerated too much. The manager overseeing the location had to dodge quickly to avert being hit. Afterward, Shakira’s jet-ski had a minor collision with the wall. This was the full extent of the damage, and everyone emerged unscathed.
Spanish media outlets, including Y ahora Sosoles, captured the event. They reported, “Shakira almost ran over the woman in charge of the jet skis, who looked worried and hit the wall.”
Shakira was accompanied by her sons, Milan and Sascha Pique Mebarak. The children’s father is Spanish footballer Gerard Pique. The duo began their relationship in 2011, after the end of Shakira’s decade-long relationship with Argentinian lawyer, Antonio de la Rua.
Shakira and Pique parted ways eleven years after they started dating, amidst rumors of Pique’s multiple affairs. After this, Shakira has been linked to Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton and Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler. However, neither Shakira nor the alleged partners have confirmed these rumors.
