An unfortunate series of events led to the death of a 25-year-old man on the Manhattan Bridge in NYC on August 7.
The initial event was a minor car collision with an Uber on the lower level of the bridge, which took place around 1:45 am. Following the collision, the driver who collided with the Uber vehicle decided to leave the scene on foot. However, he tragically fell from an elevated part of the bridge during his escape.
A bystander discovered the man’s body at the intersection of Henry and Forsyth streets under the beginning of the bridge roadway. He was immediately taken to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
While the man’s identity remains undisclosed, the sequence of events leading to his fall is being examined by the New York Police Department.
