An unsettling incident unfolded during the lunchtime rush at a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlet on Thursday, August 10, when a 23-year-old employee allegedly shot and injured a woman, according to the Savannah Police Department in Georgia.

Savannah Police Chief Lenny Gunther revealed details during a press conference, identifying the suspect as Sherman Hendrix. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the KFC located on W. Gwinnett Street at around 12:30 pm. Authorities responded promptly to the scene.

The victim, an unidentified adult female, sustained critical injuries from the shooting. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. As of Friday, the victim’s condition remains undisclosed.
