A bustling restaurant in Laconia, New Hampshire, was the scene of chaos and injuries when an SUV crashed through its front on Sunday, July 2 at around 12:45 pm.
After being alerted about the SUV plowing into the Looney Bin Bar and Grill, local fire officials rushed to the scene. Approximately 14 people were transported to nearby hospitals, while an additional 20 received on-site evaluations and were deemed not to require hospitalization. The fire department reported that two of the transported individuals suffered significant lower leg injuries, while the remaining cases involved lacerations, contusions, and other injuries not considered life-threatening.
The incident took place during lunchtime on a holiday weekend, resulting in a high number of patrons inside the establishment.
The impact of the car caused substantial damage to the restaurant, according to fire officials. However, Police Chief Matt Canfield said that the crash was not influenced by speed or alcohol. Instead, it appears to have been a result of a three-car collision outside the business, with one of the vehicles veering into the building.
