Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have put an end to their year-long house hunt by securing an extravagant mansion in the high-class Beverly Hills neighborhood.
For the remarkable 46,000-square-foot mansion, the duo paid a cash sum of $60.85 million, a considerable reduction from its initial $135 million listing price in 2018.
Situated on an expansive five-acre peninsula, the ‘Wallingford estate’ has 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms. The mansion has been recently renovated and expanded, and it flaunts opulent facilities like a 12-car garage, parking for up to 80 vehicles, and a state-of-the-art indoor sports complex. The couple’s new home includes a fully equipped gym, courts for basketball and pickleball, and a boxing ring. Additional accommodations encompass a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a caretaker’s residence, and a two-bedroom guard house.
The mansion also features a hair and nail salon, a home theater, a wine cellar, a whiskey lounge, and wellness rooms with a sauna and massage facilities.
The estate’s outdoor area is marked by a breathtaking zero-edge pool that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, as well as two private gated entrances.
In their search, the couple was represented by Brett Lawyer, a celebrity real estate agent who has previously assisted stars like Katy Perry and Madonna.
May 31 saw a flurry of activity as the couple’s belongings and furniture were moved to their new residence. This marked the end of ‘Bennifer’s’ extensive house hunt, which included entering into escrow on two other properties: a $64 million mansion in Pacific Palisades and a $34.5 million estate in the elite Rustic Canyon area.
Lopez’s Bel Air property, listed for $42 million, is said to be in escrow with a potential buyer for $39 million. Affleck, on the other hand, recently sold his mansion for around $30 million.
Throughout their search, the couple had been renting a luxurious Beverly Hills mansion owned by Australian billionaire James Packer.
