Dog Stabbed by Dogwalker in Central Park, NYC

A dog was stabbed in Central Park in NYC on Saturday night, June 17, following an argument  between its owner and another dog walker.

The incident took place around 8:30 pm inside the park, near East 106th Street and Fifth Avenue.

The owner, a 43-year-old woman, who was walking in the park with her dogs, informed the authorities that an unidentified person pulled out a knife and stabbed her dog after an argument. The assailant quickly fled the scene, leaving the owner and her pet in shock. He was described as a male wearing jeans, and an orange hat and shirt.

According to reports, the attacker was walking three unleashed dogs that allegedly bit both the victim—a German pit bull mix—and a Chihuahua the owner was walking.

Because of the severity of the injuries, the stabbed dog was euthanized at a local animal clinic.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
