Cameron Diaz Finishes Filming Without Jamie Foxx

Cameron Diaz was reportedly shocked and saddened by her co-star Jamie Foxx’s recent health crisis, according to a source close to the actress.

The two stars are collaborating on Netflix’s upcoming movie “Back in Action,” which marks Diaz’s highly anticipated return to acting after a nine-year hiatus. However, filming for the film was temporarily paused on April 12 due to Foxx’s health scare, which required him to be hospitalized.

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Fox, described the issue as a “medical complication” and reassured fans that her father was already on the road to recovery thanks to immediate action and excellent medical care. The movie resumed shooting a few days later, using a stand-in for Foxx in certain scenes.

The sudden absence of Foxx on the set disturbed Diaz. According to the source, one day they were working together, and the next day, Foxx was gone. Diaz wanted to offer support and help, but Foxx’s family has kept the details of his health status private.

While the specifics of Foxx’s health condition remain undisclosed, his daughter and his co-star Porsche Coleman have shared positive updates. Corinne announced on Instagram that her father had been discharged from the hospital for weeks and was recuperating well. Coleman, who starred alongside Foxx in Netflix’s “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!” series, assured fans at the 2023 BET Awards that Foxx was recuperating and would be back soon.

Upon completing the filming, Diaz embarked on a vacation with her family in Europe. Despite stepping away from acting in 2014 to focus on her family, sources reveal that her passion for acting has been reignited after “Back in Action.” Diaz cherishes being a mother, and her primary focus remains on her family.

The shooting schedule for “Back in Action” was described as intense and demanding, and Diaz felt a sense of relief when they finally concluded production, according to the same source.
