Tucker Carlson, known for his tenure as a Fox News host, has recently been extended an astounding $100 million job offer from Valuetainment Television.
The offer, announced on May 2, 2023, includes a five-year contract, shares in the company, the position of company president, and significant decision-making responsibilities. The opportunity represents a significant step up from his previous role, but there is a hitch: Carlson is still technically under contract with Fox News, and his popular show’s episodes reside in their archives.
During his time at Fox, Carlson garnered a faithful audience and emerged as one of the most influential figures in news media.
In an open letter on Twitter, Patrick Bet-David, the President of Valuetainment Television, publicly invited the renowned conservative commentator to join their team. The enticing offer comprises a podcast, regular weekly or daily programming, and the potential for movies and documentaries.
While appearing on Megyn Kelly’s podcast, Bet-David defended the enormous $100 million offer, arguing that Carlson’s voice is vital on a national level, and Valuetainment is the perfect platform for him. Although other media companies are also vying for Carlson’s services, Bet-David insisted that these competitors are not necessarily superior. He highlighted his company’s vision, cause, and unwavering faith in the greatness of America.
Valuetainment emphasized in a statement that their platform would allow Carlson to freely express his views, leveraging their millions of YouTube subscribers and over 10 million followers on other social media channels.
In the aftermath of Carlson’s departure from Fox News, several media outlets, such as One America News and The Heritage Foundation, have shown keen interest in bringing him on board. Newsmax even offered him control over his show’s programming as an incentive.
