New Mexico’s law enforcement has recently made public an unsettling note found on Beau Wilson, an 18-year-old gunman who shockingly ended the lives of three elderly women in an apparently random act of violence.

After inexplicably discarding his DIY bulletproof vest, Wilson was neutralized by responding police officers.

The Farmington Police Department discovered a trove of firearms and ammunition at Wilson’s father’s house during their investigation. Officers found a staggering number of over 1,000 bullets and a diverse set of ten firearms scattered around the residence. Wilson was not the registered owner of these weapons.

In a media briefing on Wednesday, Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe provided further details about Wilson’s actions. He stated that Wilson wore a self-created bulletproof vest, reinforced with steel plates, as he commenced the deadly attack from his residence. However, in an apparent suicide attempt, he decided to remove his protective gear before the police arrived on the scene. The note found in his possession ominously stated, “If you’re reading this, I’m the end of the chapter [sic].” It also included a threatening message directed at anyone who intended to harm Wilson’s younger sister.

According to police documents, Wilson initiated his horrifying assault by firing a minimum of 176 rounds from an AR-15 rifle from his home’s porch. Despite having additional ammunition, he discarded the rifle and proceeded with his violent spree using two handguns. After ditching a .22-caliber firearm, Wilson engaged the police with a 9-mm handgun, discharging at least 18 rounds. Apparently shooting haphazardly at passing vehicles, he struck 11 cars and seven houses. His victims, all respected members of the Farmington community, were Gwendolyn Schofield, 97, her daughter Melody Ivie, 73, and Shirley Voita, 79.

During the incident, Sgt. Rachel Discenza of the Farmington Police and Officer Andreas Stamatiadis of the New Mexico State Police were wounded and taken to a local healthcare facility.

The investigation into how Wilson acquired the firearms is ongoing, and authorities are scrutinizing his mental health history. They are currently trying to access his medical and school records in an effort to comprehend the driving force behind his gruesome spree.
