Meghan Markle Spotted Wearing Princess Diana’s Jewelry on Hike With Friends

Meghan Markle was seen hiking with friends near her Montecito, California home on May 7. She was wearing Princess Diana’s famous Cartier watch. Meghan declined to attend her father-in-law’s coronation ceremony in order to be with her kids. She was spotted by paparazzi hiking with pals Heather Dorak and Markus Anderson.

The former actress wore the Cartier watch with a diamond tennis bracelet, believed to have been given to Princess Diana by King Charles. Meghan’s outfit consisted of a black tank top, leggings, a fedora, and Victoria Beckham sunglasses. Her choice of jewelry drew attention and appeared to be a tribute to her late mother-in-law.

Meghan has often been seen wearing the Cartier watch and diamond tennis bracelet, including during her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. Notably, two diamonds from the bracelet were used to create Meghan’s engagement ring.

That’s a lot of expensive jewelry to wear on a hike, but some speculate she was making a statement.  While Prince Harry briefly attended King Charles III’s coronation last week, Meghan stayed home to celebrate their son Archie’s fourth birthday. According to royal biographer Omid Scobie, Meghan chose not to attend the coronation to maintain “her peace.”
