Looks like Prince Andrew might have to pack his bags if King Charles has his way, based on a recent report.
Andrew has been living in the swanky 30-bedroom Royal Lodge with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, since 2002. But even though the King told him to move out from the $37 million property last month, Andrew’s been putting his foot down and refusing to budge.
Word on the street is that Andrew’s worried King Charles might pull the plug on the electricity at the Windsor residence to get him to leave. Insiders say he’s concerned the family might cut off utilities to force him out. Apparently, Charles is trying to nudge Andrew to move into Frogmore Cottage, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle used to live.
Once Andrew’s vacated the residence, the Royal Lodge is set to become the new digs for Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their kids.
Andrew’s hoping to have a heart-to-heart with his brother and work things out.
Queen Elizabeth took away Andrew’s royal and military titles in 2022 because of his ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew stepped back from his duties in 2019 after being accused of sexual abuse. He did, however, show up at Charles’ coronation on May 6, wearing his royal Garter robes and regalia.
Even though he got to secretly pose for the official coronation portraits, insiders say his photos probably won’t see the light of day. However, Andrew was allowed to wear his sacred robes during the camera shoot. Sources say Andrew wanted to be photographed to make sure there’s an official record of him being part of his brother’s big day.
