Looks like a new celebrity feud is heating up in Hollywood, with R&B stars Chris Brown (a/k/a “Breezy”) and Usher reportedly getting into a brawl at Brown’s 34th birthday bash at Skate Rock City in Vegas.
The drama went down on Friday, May 5, while Breezy was celebrating his birthday. Word is, a drunk Chris Brown was rude to Teyana Taylor, and when Usher and some others tried to chill him out, things got out of control. Brown called Usher a coward, and the argument spilled outside the venue. That’s where Brown and his security team supposedly jumped Usher, leaving him with a bloody nose. None of the celebs have confirmed this, but videos of the party floating around on social media show them all hanging out together, including Mario and Bow Wow.
Chris Brown has had his fair share of legal troubles, like his 2009 arrest for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna, a 2016 assault charge, and a 2019 rape accusation. He’s also been accused of domestic violence and battery.
Despite his rocky past, Brown’s music career is still going strong, with many collaborations and albums under his belt. Last year, he gushed about Usher, saying he’d love to honor the Confessions singer and his life, and even called Usher a trailblazer in the music world.
Usher shut down rumors of a musical showdown with Brown in a chat with E!’s Daily Pop show. He said there’s no official flyer for a Verzuz battle with Chris Brown and claimed fans aren’t ready for that yet. Usher hinted it might happen someday, so stay tuned.
Usher and Brown both rocked the stage at the Lovers & Friends Festival on Sunday, May 7, as planned.
